If you feel your appointment is urgent, and are happy to see any GP, then we will see you that day. For a routine appointment we will endeavour to accommodate you within 48 hours. If you wish to see a specific GP however, then you may have to wait longer for an appointment.

If you wish to make an appointment in advance we offer appointments up to 28 days in the future.

If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to another patient. We have a significant problem with "non-attenders" blocking patient access. Don’t forget you can use our “text to cancel” service. (See below)

Please be aware that if you arrive late for your appointment you may be asked to rebook. This is to ensure we are doing our best to ensure that the surgeries run on time. If you contact us to let us know you are going to be late we will always endeavour to accommodate the change but sadly there are no guarantees.

Each person to be seen will require a separate appointment. If you have more than one problem to discuss, you may need to make another appointment.

Appointments can be made in advance by special arrangement for those with a disability who rely on a carer to get to the surgery. Please make this clear if it is the case.

Extended Access

Click here for more information on extended access.

Chaperone Policy

If you would like a chaperone present at any time during a consultation when you are being examined please let your clinician know. We will be happy to organise for another member of staff to be present at that examination.

Referrals - Choose and Book

When you and your GP agreed that you need an appointment with a specialist, Choose and Book shows your GP which hospitals or clinics are available for your treatment. Your GP will discuss with you the appropriate options which are available for treating your medical condition.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

You can now cancel your appointment by text message.

If you have registered your mobile number with us you will receive a text reminder about your appointment.  If you no longer need it then you simply reply CANCEL to the number provided and this will automatically cancel your appointment from the system.
